It was July 2000.
Kelly was 5.
We had just had lunch with my sister and a couple of her girls at the American Girl Store in downtown Chicago [we later celebrated a few birthdays there]. Then we all boarded a horse drawn carriage for a ride down Michigan Avenue.
Kelly and her cousin Claudia were loving every minute!

A classic family picture of me [in the middle] with my siblings and mom in 1972.
I don't have shoeboxes full of photos of all of the adventures of my childhood so the pictures that I do have are treasured. And this one is definitely a classic! I remember how much I loved that coat and I'm guessing this was an Easter Sunday picture before heading off to church when we were living on No. 55th Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
Priceless memories.

It's Throwback Thursday... this was an awesome day that Kelly and I spent down at the Childrens Museum in Chicago when she was 3. We were making a paper mache of our dog, Pinky, that was a bull terrier! One of my most favorite memories!
