Here it is, my first picture taken in 2011. Dixie.
out on a walk. always willing to stop for me. :)
I've been fighting off bronchitis for the past 9 days so I've been pretty low-key since Christmas. Even had to cancel our scheduled trip to see the grandkids. So disappointing.
But the new year is here and a busy one it is going to be!
Starting the new year off with my new word for the year.
In the scrapbooking world among others, choosing a word for the year gives opportunity to reflect and in a lot of ways is like a resolution. Last year my word was Embrace. And I did that. I embraced challenges, celebrations, work and life!
This year my word is
Strive
Strive to achieve.
Strive to balance.
Strive to enjoy.
Strive for more.
Reaching for my goals. I've always been a hard worker [I'm a virgo--can't avoid it] but there is always more that I can strive for. I debated choosing document, but that's work. Strive just reminds me to go out and make things happen because nothing happens if you're just sitting around! :)
I'm also starting the new year off with a new photobook project: Documenting a Decade. Last week marked the end of a decade and I'm looking forward to summarizing all that has happened in a new book!
I've already gotten started with my pages and hope that you'll join me on this journey!
And last, but certainly not least, is some inspiration!
I took December off from the weekly challenges because I had a lot on my plate putting on the Days of December at DesignerDigitals. But a new year is time for some new inspiration and I came up with THREE new pieces to help inspire you to keep scrapping the memories of yesterday and yesteryear. Be sure to have a look and get inspired!
