We live as long as we are remembered.
That quote hits a cord for me as an avid scrapbooker. The more I discover about my family heritage, the more I want to dig deeper. And the more I want to scrap our history, our heritage, the stories of those that came before me.
Through the census records I learned my grandmother's address in New York City as a teenager. Going to there, walking those streets and envisioning what living in a bustling city must have been like for a young girl. How that molded how she was. And I've learned so much more than this. It's really fascinating to me. I want to learn more.
I wish I was out in Utah and had been able to attend Rootstech this past weekend.
Sounded like such a great gathering. Ree Drummond was a keynote speaker, how cool is that? Love her!
Has me thinking more about genealogy and so I created this free 3x4 pocket card for your project life/365 scrapping. Simply click on the image and you will get the full size image that you can download.
And I'm going to keep following Rootstech and maybe I can get there next year!
