Day 4. Our last day.
We had planned to go to the Blue Lagoon this day. But on day 2 we could smell the suplhur in the air and came to find out that it's part of the geothermal waters at the Blue Lagoon and with Kelly's suplhur allergies we decided it wouldn't be a good idea. She was already starting to get hives from the sheets.
So for our last day, we slept in. Had a relaxing breakfast in the hotel and boarded a bus to the airport at 1pm to catch our 4:50pm flight back home.
At the airport I had the first iced latte for me in 4 days! Oh it was good!
Iceland has a tax refund for purchases over 4,000 ISK so we had gathered our receipts and got a bit of a refund that we poured right back into their economy with some airport shopping!
I was a happy camper on the plane when it was all boarded and I had the entire row to myself! It was going to be a comfortable flight home!
So I enjoyed some Boxer Chips and a soda as I finished up my travel notes and read thru my magazines on my iPad!
I loved how it looked as we flew over the farms of Pennsylvania!
And then we were home... and so ends our Mother/Daughter adventure!
