I'm starting to take Kelly's senior portraits and I'm not a professional. I've never taken anyone's senior portraits before. But I've been an avid photographer for years and even worked as a party and wedding photographer in college... so I do have some professional experience.
I've been scouring the web for ideas and searching for locations around town but, so far, ended up with the best success over at my cousin's farm and the corn fields at Annie's Playground. This was only the first time out though. Thinking we have to head over to the ocean for a few shots. A favorite stream for a few more and then into the studio. And the next time we will bring a hair brush and even a reflector too!
If anyone has any tips, helpful hints, actions they love for portraits etc. I'm listening and would love to hear what you suggest! The school requires a head shot in a drape. Not my ideal but it's required so I'm thinking I'll have to order this. We did shots like this for the sorority but not high school! Do you have a favorite drape [that doesn't cost a fortune] for your senior portraits?
Looking forward to hearing your advice!
