I absolutely love creating art with my photos on my ipad. But the assortment of apps out there can be so overwhelming. My friend Bob Weil has put together an awesome new class, iPhoneography, through my friend Sebastian Michaels who runs the PhotoshopArtistry Class!
I started with a background paper from Vintage Book No. 3 and I adjusted the levels just a bit to make the background brighter. Then I simply dragged on of the Artsy Paint graphics onto the background and set the blend mode to Linear Burn. This intensified the graphic and picked up the textures of the paper. After that it was just a matter of layering in some elements, the all-important date stamp, a few captions and it's done! Simple as that!
I love a little art therapy and taking time to get artsy with my scrapbooking. I don't always go there. The graphic designer ingrained in me likes a graphic composition with white space too! What is artsy? I suppose it's a lot of different things to different people. For me, artsy is when I do things with my scrapbook pages that couldn't be done in traditional scrapbooking. Mixing paints, blend modes and masking with my photos and scrapbook elements. Today I have an Artsy Challenge over at DesignerDigitals complete with a free download and a chance to win a $5 store discount! Check it out!
