Every few weeks my cousin and dear friend Molly and I have been going out for a girls night. A night out chatting and laughing and eating with just us, no kids. It's something I really look forward to!
This week we went up to the Border Cafe in Delaware. Love the atmosphere there and the food is really good too! Can't beat their margaritas and queso!
Looking forward to the next time we get out... can't come soon enough! ;)

My cousin added some market sheep to the farm this past week. I have a thing about sheep. Can't explain it. When I look back at my pictures from Ireland nearly 7 years ago, there are far too many pictures of random sheep. lol. But these are market sheep... so we won't get too attached. Her oldest is showing them for 4H and then they will be sold after the fair this summer. Resident sheep are arriving in a few weeks and I look forward to getting attached to them!
Kelly brought her iPod Touch [17th birthday present] and I loved when she showed me this picture on the way home! She gathered all the girls around the camera and got this great group shot!
My cousin Molly has 4 adorable girls... this one is at an age where she thoroughly enjoys the camera and the camera enjoys her too!
It was a busy weekend around our home.
Kelly was still not feeling well, lots of stomach aches.
Saturday morning was SAT tests for Kelly followed by UCBAC tennis tournament. Unfortunately she was pretty weak from not eating because of the stomach aches so she lost her match. Hoping she did well on the tests.
On Sunday, Kelly took it easy and napped, Dixie went and ran off steam at her doggy day care and Randy and I headed up to do a little retail therapy at the Lancaster outlets. I love driving up there and seeing all the buggies of the amish. This one with the children made me wish I had a camera other than my iPhone. I don't know why I'm so fascinated by the amish but I am. A little obsession I suppose.
Hello Monday.
Last night my husband and I walked the new extension to our road that is due to open very soon.
Lots of symbolism here with the new road, a new month, new journeys and new allergy issues. [we were both having a heck of a time with our allergy issues after this walk]
I'm trying to stay simple with my goals. If too lofty goals are set then they are never achieved and it drags me down. There's never enough time these days to do all the things I really want to do. So here it is!
Here's to achieving the little things!

On Sunday we celebrated Kelly's 17th birthday!
It's been a month full of changes for Kelly. She got her driver's license and after getting over the anxiety of taking the car for the first time she is enjoying her independence. Tennis season is going well and she's won a number of her matches this season on the varsity team. Seventeen is going to be a good year! We are so very proud of her!

It's Official...
Sonic is in the 'hood!!
I had sonic for the first time in Omaha with my little sister and easily became hooked. And today a brand new Sonic opened in our little town just a couple miles from home and I couldn't be happier. Got my Cherry Limeade fix bright and early this morning!
