It's hard to believe that Dixie is only TWO!
I feel like she's been with our family for years and that's a good thing!
I can't say enough good things about this dog. I think it's the breed, her breeder and the training I did with her. After a number of dogs in my adult life, some good experiences some not, I finally think I did everything right with her. We are reaping the rewards for that by having kind of dog I always wanted [mellow, non-barker, couch potato, snuggle buddy] and everyone who meets her loves her too!

And when I posted this page in the gallery at DesignerDigitals, there were a few comments I wanted to address.
Yes, she has learned the "leave it" command and, for the most part, will leave food items etc until she is released with an okay! But... note the missing pink icing in this shot along with some teeth marks... I took about a dozen photos before I let her dive into the cake and when I would reposition she took that as an okay ;)
Did I mention she is the best dog ever?
She licked her chops numerous times for the pics like a good puppy! ;)
