came home from our target run to find a frog on the front door and then another hopped across the sidewalk. So, after securing rubber gloves and the camera... the fun began! I'm generally not such a germaphob but frogs just scream germs to me... and it was a good thing we got the gloves because the little one was in need of a potty break! :)
aside from the gloves, I'm loving these pictures! lol!
fun times! think I need to make a frog kit now! :)
yesterday was packed... and not with work either...
We headed over to the beach
and Kelly jumped the waves and suntanned
Emma mastered the waves
Mary changed her clothes at least 3 times!
Elizabeth kept us all laughing
and Molly made more than her share of trips to the little girls room with her little girls
and right after I got home I went right back out the door to the ball game with Randy and we got a little chuckle there... The Ironbirds were playing the Ohio minor league team The Scrappers... I guess if WE had a team, that's what we would call it!
Kelly starts her new volunteer job as a day camp counselor today... so I'm off to be chauffeur!
3,456 is the final count on the number of pictures I took during our 5 day/4 night adventure with Ms. Emi! She is completely adorable, has a very vivid imagination and boundless energy. And, although we're still not recovered from her stay here, we miss her little antics and look forward to seeing her again in September after her little sister is born!
We headed up to Hershey, PA yesterday. Thought we'd go to the amusement park but by the time we got up there it was noon and thinking we'd only last until 3 or 4pm the nearly $200 price tag for tickets seemed a little steep, so we went to Hershey Gardens and their Butterfly House and then on a tour ride at Chocolate World. It was just the right amount of activity!
Yes, Kelly's texting in the garden... lol!
I took lots of butterfly pictures!
and then we came home and played dress-up!
And I am proud to announce I am FINALLY off Auto on my camera!! And I couldn't be happier with the results! I think it took the few days of non-stop pictures and experimenting and checking in photoshop and finally coming up with the results I have always wanted! Crisp and perfect without any photoshopping!!
and a trip to the playground before we got washed up!
and bathtime pictures have become some of my favorites! Emi loves to play and pretend and then make hairstyles to wear at the ball with her prince charming! Her imagination is overflowing! :)
We had a wonderful day at the beach yesterday and now we're all rested and ready for another full day of activity! And you can bet, I'm going to be scrapping pages for months to come with all the pictures I've been taking... But I feel like I've made a breakthrough with understanding my camera and getting better pictures and that's got me thrilled! :)
I flew to Kentucky yesterday and flew home with our precious little Emi for the next four days and we've already had quite the adventure. On the plane she told dozens of knock knock jokes [that made no sense]. cracked herself up laughing following by a "you better remember that one Grandma!" lol! She kept everyone entertained! And came home and had an early birthday party [she'll be 5 at the end of the month]. Then took a bath in our 'giant' bathtub and went straight to bed... in 'her new room' that she was surprised wasn't pink for her! lol!
And after she wakes up this morning we're heading over to the beach for the day!
Decided to start my day off today with a visit to my favorite flower farm today! Picked up a fresh arrangement and some sunflowers too! And I had no idea how much I would need by fix of happy flowers today!
Because this afternoon I was helping my friend out by babysitting her littlest one... who did NOT want me babysitting...
she screamed and hollered and arched her back in pure disgust with me on-and-off for nearly an hour and a half! but when mom came back...
she became that angelic little angel again... I think we're going to have to watch out for this one! lol!
