My finished year in review book arrived safely to our home and has taken its place on my bookshelf of memories.
There's been a lot of talk over at DesignerDigitals about photobooks and all the headaches caused by Shutterfly. It's no secret that we had been partnered with them. Until they dropped digital scrapbookers and the format we had all become accustomed to without warning. But, old habits die hard and I am having a heck of a time trying a new company. I like to go with what I know and I've been a customer at Shutterfly since 1999. So, this book was done there using the classic custom path that, supposedly, will not be available for long. Hoping they change their mind about this.
The creative team at DesignerDigitals is a bunch of enablers.
Project Life is all the buzz and the team is digging in deep to make it happen. In discussions it came up that the Epson Artisan837 allows you to use the Epson iPrint [or smartphone] App to print pictures you take on your phone without having to transfer them to your computer and when I heard that I was SOLD!
I stumbled a little bit with it at first. Make sure your paper is shiny side down ;)
But then I was off and running!
And, of course, my only complaint is I want more from the app. I want to be able to print 2 -3x4photos on one 4x6 sheet straight from my phone [if I'm missing something please clue me in!] But I'm sure as the app evolves we will be able to do all sorts of super things with this great printer!

It's January.
The year is off to a great start.
I have a good husband. An amazing daughter. And the sweetest puppy ever.
Life is good.

Thankfully this exhibit at the Guggenheim is ending today.
Taking Kelly to museums and introducing her to historic works that I had studied as an Art History minor back in college was the intention.
Seeing this disturbing display of art was not my plan. It really wasn't appropriate for children or families. And it frustrates me that things like this are called art and given a platform like the Guggenheim.
I love art. Modern, Traditional, Abstract... but I just don't see this as art. It's distasteful. Disrespectful. Simple as that. And I'll get off my soapbox now.
